Injustice!

Injustice...It happens everyday......to Us, Our Families, our Friends, our Neighbors, The WORLD...What are we doing about it?? Are we giving Hope?

I spent the day at a Human Trafficking fundraiser/raising awareness concert in Birmingham (England)...It makes me ill the horrible things that are happening every second in the world around me...war, sex slaves(starting with 12yr. old girls), slavery of people groups (Burmese People Group, Dalite People Group, etc...), rapes, child abuse, poverty, human trafficking, genocides, aids, etc...the list can go on and on...but what are we doing about it? Are we lifting a finger? Our change we would spend on a bag of candy/sweets? A movie with our mates? A date? A new CD? A Concert? Again this list could go on and on for ever...

What would Jesus be doing about it?? Defiantly Something! HE would lend that ear, he would give up that coffee, he wouldn't turn the other way when he saw something in just happening...He would do something...

I am so guilt of being a hypocrite with this...I get all stirred up all the time but what am I really doing or what can I do...there are thousands of organizations out there that I could give to, sponsor a child for school, raise awareness of the sex trade that is happening right at our door steps...they say that over 27,000,000 people are in slavery today...that is unbelievable and alot of those people are right here in the UK or America...

It is so scary...It scares me to be alone, for the safety of the innocent children, women, etc...

Tim Hughs was one of the sponsors who came tonight...he played for free only petrol money is what he asked...because he believes in what/who he is singing about and knows by raising awareness we can make a difference...our Prayer make a difference us getting off our ass and doing something is what makes a difference in the world...I challenge myself and you...what are you doing?? I can't use the excuse I am poor...it is less than $5 a week to sponsor a Dalite child in India to go to school saving their life from the slavery their parents are in, cleaning the shit of other lazy people off the streets not even being about to walk through the streets without being beaten or killed...we cant even imagine this in our hunky doory lives...we have so much and the weak has so little...

We have huge responsibility as Christan's to do something....we say be believe the bible, we say we want to be like Jesus, we say thank you God for choosing me...well what about all the others, what about us being Jesus' hands and feet...isn't that what we where created for...we live in a corrupt world...what are we doing about it...Are we doing our part? No matter how big of small it might be: going, money, raising awareness, what are we doing to spread the Love of Christ to the hurt and needy?

This is the song that really challenged me and gave me hope and a responsibility:

God of Justice, Saviour to all
Came to rescue the weak and the poor

Chose to serve and not be served
Jesus,
You have called us

Freely we've received
Now freely we will give
We must go live to feed the hungry

Stand beside the broken

We must go

Stepping forward keep us from just singing
Move us into action
We must go

To act justly everyday

Loving mercy in every way
Walking humbly before You God

You have shown us, what You require

Freely we've received

Now freely we will give

Fill us up and send us out

Fill us up and send us out

Fill us up and send us out Lord
